:rolleyes: What is the difference between AFX2.0+ with ROM v1.03 and AFX2.0+ with ROM v1.02 or older than v1.02 ? :rolleyes:

some games are made for specific versions (scorch, mysterious island) and wont work on others, there are also diffrent ways of doing things.

In fact the timer interrupt in 1.01 is 3 times faster than on other rom versions.
This will affect grayscale (more then 1 gray) but all programs on rom 1.02 can also be run on 1.03 and vice versa.

Another note about ROM 1.01: TC3's floating point emulation doesn't work on this calc (that's why some games cannot run)... However TC2's floating point emulation functions on all calc models.

Not to mention that floating point math is extremly slow and for any ambitious game you should use fixed point math (even for 32bit long int works nice).
Probably ROM1.01 have a little less mem for executables than others, but schorch works well and some had problems with this game.

As i see its difficult make ASM/C games quickly, there are a lot of details to take on accound and learn to do that.

PJ, if no one answers it means we dont know. I think they are all good, there are just a few diffrent things about them, most not knoticable to a non-programmer.
